Meet Ralphie in OH - Adores People, Dogs & Treats!

Live, love, laugh, and play hard… that is Ralphie’s motto! This boy has a zest for life and when he does something – he is all in—eating, playing, and loving everyone! He can’t get enough of people, other dogs, and treats, in no particular order. Ralphie had a sad start to life; he was found out wandering in a field at 5 weeks old. He has never let that bring him down and came to rescue ready to live life to its fullest. He is not afraid of anything and has a way about him that wins over all the dogs in his foster home. Ralphie has a soft wavy coat you can’t help but want to snuggle, which he loves to do with his foster mama - he can never get close enough! This boy is all PYR and will need a home with large breed experience, a secure fenced yard, and a large breed canine dog who is very playful! If you are a Great Pyrenees lover, looking to laugh every day, active, and ready for the ride of your life—apply for Ralphie today!

Due to the high level of interest we can't respond to emails unless an application has been submitted.

Our goal is to assess every application on its own merits. Key considerations are: 1) the experience of the applicant with large breed dogs 2) children in the household or regularly visiting the household are ready for a large-breed dog who is a guardian by nature (www.nationalpyr.org/know-the-breed) and 3) the sex of other dogs currently residing in the household to avoid same-sex aggression issues. For puppies under six months old, the applicant’s ability to socialize the puppy with older dogs is a priority.

Transport not available to the West Coast - please see our list of Northwest dogs at https://nationalpyr.org/northwest-region

Secure VISIBLE fencing is required; invisible fencing WILL NOT contain this breed.
