Rain(y)'s Story

We have a picture of Rain, on a cold winter rainy day, tethered with a chain, living outdoors 24/7 with no house, no cover, no shelter; literally starving & infested with intestinal worms. Today she dances when she sees a recognizable human! She still is very timid of new humans. SHE WILL REQUIRE SEVERAL VISITS TO warm up to ANYone new. She was terrified her whole life until coming to us. We feed her separately, & you must also; in fact being your solo-flyer, your "one & only" would be her best bet. She was terrified upon rescue. Was SO thirsty & hungry, shivering from the cold & shivering from being held or attended by humans. She still expects someone might hit her unexpectedly. Yet, never a growl. Never so much as the thought of biting. Instead, the opposite, cowering. Gentle. Sweet. Needs a patient, kind human of her own who is PATIENT & ready to give, not need immediate gratification. But it WILL COME! (PS, Beautiful blue eyes a bonus!) A gorgeous girl! Email Rescue@healingspecies.org for an adopt app! Or for faster reply please text only (Ringer is off) Cheri at 803 308 7374. We are in Orangeburg SC. Please let us know from where you are coming & your 1st & last name. God bless for considering adoption.
