He loves being around his people, whether he's playing outside, gazing out the window, or soaking up attention. Rafferty is affectionate and social, and he has done very well meeting new people—always ready to share some happy licks!<br/><br/>He does well in his crate and goes in without a fuss, though he will need a heavy-duty crate as he has figured out how to escape in the past. He may whine briefly but typically settles in nicely. Rafferty is still working on his leash skills, as he tends to get excited and a bit all over the place during walks. As a strong, growing pup, he doesn't always realize his size, so continued training will be important.<br/><br/>Like many puppies, Rafferty can get a little mouthy and may paw at you when excited, but he redirects very easily with toys and guidance. He is eager to learn and would thrive with consistent structure, training, and ongoing socialization to help him grow into a well-mannered adult.<br/><br/>Rafferty would do best in a home with older children or kids who have experience with large breeds, as his size and enthusiasm can be a bit much for little ones. He does not require another dog but would do fine with one. A fenced yard is recommended to help him safely burn off energy and manage his curiosity about the world around him.<br/><br/>Rafferty is a fun-loving, affectionate pup who just needs the right guidance and commitment to help him reach his full potential. In return, he'll give you endless love, laughter, and a loyal companion for life. <br/><br/>Until the profile is removed from the public's view, this dog is considered available for adoption. To apply to adopt from Just Giants Rescue fill out an online. All approved applications are good for 12 months. All dogs adopted from Just Giants Rescue are up to date on vaccines (Rabies, DHPP, Bordetella), microchipped, and spayed or neutered. Some exceptions may apply. All adoption fees are non-refundable; Just Giants is a NFP 501(c)3 organization.<br/><br/><br/> Transportation from the foster home to the adopter is the responsibility of the adopter to coordinate.
