Quinnie's Story

Meet Quinnie!

At 14 years young and just 15 pounds, Quinnie is a precious little senior girl who has perfected the art of enjoying the simple things in life. She is fully housebroken, fully crate-trained, non-destructive, and wonderfully relaxed around food, toys, and bones. She's happy to share everything with her people!

Quinnie enjoys short little walks around the yard to do her business, and then she heads back to the deck to find her favorite sunny spot for a nice afternoon snooze. She's a little chubby and, at her age, doesn't need long walks—just enough to keep her moving and enjoying the day.

She is wonderful with children and was absolutely perfect with her fosters grandchildren, ages 11, 5, and 10 months. Her 5-year-old granddaughter could even pick her up and snuggle with her on the couch. Quinnie enjoys some cuddles, but she's also an independent little lady who will eventually say, Okay, that's enough loving for now! and hop down to spend some time with her people in her own way.

Quinnie is also perfect with guests. She may give a little bark when someone arrives, but that's about it. She would be happy in either a house or an apartment, although she definitely loves having a fenced yard to leisurely explore.

Quinnie does great with other dogs, cats are unknown. She does bark at dogs she sees on TV, though—which tells us her eyesight is still working just fine!

Quinnie would be a wonderful companion for a family or for someone looking for a sweet senior best friend. She doesn't need a lot—just a cozy place to call home, a sunny spot to nap in, and people who will love her for all the years she has left to give.

This little senior sweetheart is ready for her forever home. Could Quinnie be your perfect little sunbathing, couch-snuggling companion?
