Quinn Avery KY4849's Story

Quinn AKA Greta Garbo was turned into a shelter. They were told she was 14 years old, but the foster believes she is younger. SHe is very spry, dances around, and moved very well. She runs circles around the 10 year old Boston in the home.

It took me three days to come out of the crate. I ate, slept and lay in the crate until I got used to the routine. I really like my crate. I am not a big fan of the two puppies in the foster home, but who likes puppies anyway? They are annoying and I let them know. I have found my voice when it comes to feeding time. I let out a little encouragement to the kitchen crew. They say I am 14 years old, but I certainly don't act like it. When I get excited, I dance around on my back legs. I am super agile when jumping onto the couch between the two humans. Honestly my favorite thing is sleeping. Did I mention that I really like my crate?

Age: 14

Weight: 15

Spayed/Neutered: Yes

Microchipped: Yes

Vaccines Up-to-Date: Yes

On Heartworm Prevention: Yes

House-Trained: Yes

Crate-Trained: Yes

Leash Skills: Hmmm. We have not tried.

Other: Quinn has cataracts. Sometimes she is startled if you move too quickly around her hind quarters, but recovers quickly. Loves to walk around the yard and lay in the sunshine. She just might figure out the bell hanging on the door to be let outside. She is a very clever girl. She is very soft to the touch and does not act like a 14 year old dog. Some people just age gracefully.

Likes/Dislikes

Toys: Not really interested

Other Animals: Not really interested

People/Kids: Adults, not kid tested but I think I would be good!

Car Rides: Calm

Separation: No

Contact/Application Info

Questions? btretky@gmail.com

Current location: Frankfort, KY

Adoption Fee: $350

Ready to Apply to Adopt? Boston Terrier Rescue of East Tennessee's Adoption Policy
For the Application and much more information, go to The Boston Terrier Rescue of East Tennessee website, Boston Terrier Rescue of East TN at bostonterriertn.org and use the online application. We require both an adoption application & a contract. We check Vet references, interview families and do home visits. We ask for a nominal adoption donation to help us defray the medical expenses of the next homeless dog. It generally costs us more than we take in in fees per dog to completely vet a dog. Many come to us old and frail, often sick, making donations more critical. We are not subsidized by the government or any foundation, but rather by only a few very good people. We're delighted to get donations. Our adoption application is available on-line and we will generally respond within 24-48 hours to your application and answer any initial questions. Anyone wishing to adopt should complete the online application on bostonterriertn.org If you don't get an answer to an inquiry it's probably because your question was already answered in the bio -- and if the dog is still posted on our website, that means he/she is still available.
