Meet Quincy an 11 month old, 60 lb, Pit mix. Quincy is a very sweet and loving dog. He is neutered & vaccinated. He knows basic commands but will need ongoing training since he is young and maturing. We had him assessed by Affinity Canine and Abbe said as Quincy is maturing he is trying to assert himself with male dogs and needs ongoing instruction. The trainer recommend a home with female dogs since she saw no cause for concern with females. Quincy is currently living in a multi dog home and this is not helping the situation, too much going on to focus on him. Quincy can be pushy and that is why it is so important to correct him and make sure he is properly trained. Basically he needs a strong leader to guide him. Quincy does go to doggy daycare 2 days a week at Paws & Effect in Westlake, and he is doing well with their experienced dog handlers. He is very smart and learns fast who is in charge ;-). He also needs work on his rude jumping behavior, again training is the key and Quincy will be a great dog! He will do very well in a new home if boundaries are set. We will offer a free training session to help him transition to a new forever home.

Quincy is housebroken and crate trained. He will require daily exercise. A fence (not electric) would be great to help expend his energy. Quincy does well around the teenager he lives with, however he has not been around toddlers so we recommend a home with children over 12 years of age. There are also cats in the home, but Quincy chases them so a cat-less home is best.
