Meet Quill. This 3-year-old Miniature Pinscher/Terrier mix weighs about 15 pounds and came to us from another rescue after being removed from a home with over 60 dogs. Because she wasn’t properly socialized in those conditions, Quill is most comfortable around other dogs and can be cautious at first with new people. However, in her short time at PK, she has already begun to come around and show her softer side. She especially enjoys sitting on laps, where she fully relaxes and becomes quite affectionate once she feels safe. Quill would likely do well in a home with another confident dog to help her continue building confidence. She will need a patient family who prioritizes her safety and security, as dogs from similar backgrounds can be flight risks, especially early on. She likes other dogs, can be cat tested if needed, and should not go to a home with young children; older, responsible kids who understand her need for space and patience would be the best fit.
