Queenie Pit Bull Terrier Mix New Orleans, LA

Looking for an easy, chill and snuggly pup? Queenie is your girl! She's a great dog who's ready to find her true forever home where she can relax, flourish and give all the cuddles.

Queenie is approximately three years old and 45 pounds. She's a petite and stocky little potato! She's amazing out of a kennel when left home alone, and will greet you with her tail wagging like a helicopter when you get back. She's mellow, very lovable, and has a goofy side that loves chasing toys and shamelessly snorting for more pets. Do to a stressful past, she'd do best in a low activity home without kids. She's dog friendly with balanced pups, but does require slow, controlled introductions so that she can be sure they're friendly as well.

Queenie truly just wants her person to cuddle and play with, keeping you company on the couch or for walks. She is an amazing Netflix partner or backyard garden assistant. Queenie is spayed, up to date on vaccines and has started her heartworm treatment, which is covered by the rescue at one of our partnered vets. This adorable little nugget deserves a home fit for a queen!

**Please do not use the "Introduce Yourself" feature. The information needed to determine if you might be a match for one of our animals can only be found on our application. An inquiry, question, or introduction through Petfinder is NOT an application. All known details about our animals are posted on their profile and updated daily. Other info would be discussed in detail with the foster during the application review process. Due to the number of introductions/questions received (hundreds daily) we ask you submit an application on our website (that application can be used for any dog with Take Paws Rescue).

The adoption fee for adult dogs covers age appropriate vaccinations, microchip, spay/neuter if not yet performed, heartworm test & appropriate heartworm treatment by the rescue's vet. All dogs in our care are also kept up-to-date on HW/Flea Prevention. Please see our website for more information.

2022 Adoption Fee Scale for non-benefactor animals:
Puppies under 12 months - $350
Dogs over 12 months - $250


*Take Paws Rescue saves dogs from high-kill shelters in Southeast Louisiana, owner surrenders, and discarded dogs with uncertain futures. All of our animals live in foster homes where they are socialized, and well cared for. An application will be required to make sure it’s the perfect match!
