Queen Bessie's Story

Queen Bessie is a full gal who loves booty scratches and cuddles on the couch. She is always checking in on her humans and enticing them to interact, especially when she's trying to figure out what may ail you; she's so intuitive and considerate. When she's figured out her humans enough, Bessie loves roughhousing and also snuggling with her best buddy Draco. They can play and entertain each other for hours, followed by a very long nap on the couch; they are ultimate Besties :-)

Bessie was rescued from the county shelter, where she was scheduled to be euthanized due to overcrowding. She was failed by humans before, and now she is looking for a forever home with a family who will love her forever. Sunnyside Street Dogs's Adoption Policy
Application is received and reviewed. References will be checked. A home visit in person or on face time will be completed at a mutually convenient time. After the adoption fee paid and contract(s) signed, the dog or puppy can be picked up or transported. Transportation is included in the adoption fee if you live outside of Texas. The availability of the transport company, foster or volunteer transporter, and adopter will determine when the dog unites with their new forever person/people. Pets going on transport will have a health certificate completed by a veterinarian declaring the pet healthy for transport. Read more on transport below. If a dog/puppy goes to their forever home without being spayed or neutered, the adopter needs to sign a sterilization contract - promising they will get their dog/puppy spayed or neutered. Listed breed and age are based on a best guess estimation by rescue and veterinary staff; DNA tests are not included in adoption. If a dog is adopted out of state, they will arrive to their destination via ground transport, unless the adopter will pick up. We coordinate with multiple transport services that operate weekly to Eastern states and bi-weekly or monthly to Western states from Texas to your state or a neighboring state. These are ground transports using third party vehicles (vans/buses) converted for dog transport.
