Queen's Story

I was given the name "Raven" by Animal Care and Control in Florida after being rescued in a remote part of Florida with 2 other Rottweilers. One of them was pulled from the shelter very quickly. Myself and the third dog, were rescued through Rising Star Rottweiler Rescue and then pulled into MSCAP rescue so that Rising Star could continue to save more Rottweilers from high-kill areas nationally.

Upon arriving at MSCAP Foster home, rescue volunteers learned that Raven hasn't had that name for long, so her foster family has been searching for her real name. After attempts of multiple names, she jumped up and ran to her foster mom upon hearing "Queen and Queenie".

Queen is starting to realize what a dog is supposed to do in Foster Care. She is crate trained & understands letting her humans know she needs to go outside. Queen has learned what dog toys are and fallen in love with BARK BOXs new Sushi Fish toy that arrived. She is learning how to retrieve it and starting to learn co be cued to put it down so that it can be thrown again. She is rewarded verbally as she drops the toy and given pets on her head or back. She is not used to sharing toys or even having toys, so sometimes she gets a little defensive if another dog approaches her new toy. She is verbally redirected mas well as other dogs. The other dogs are told to leave her alone and she is told that no one will be stealing her toy.

She gets along well with most dogs unless food is involved or her new toy that she has chosen. Although she plays with other toys, she favors the fish.

Please visit our website https://ms-cap.org to learn more about this amazing pet and to see other available dogs and cats.
