VIP: Pups is about 4 years of age and is a sweet boy. He went on a group dog walk to a local park along with other dogs from the shelter. Pups was a very good boy overall! He was patient getting fitted into a harness for the walk. He was interested in the other dogs on the walk and would whimper if the other dog was too active or playful. Pups got into and out of the car with no problems, and dozed off on the rides which was quite adorable. He was excited on the walk and needed some redirection but it was all manageable. He really has a sweet demeanor and will make someone very happy. Pups is awesome! <br/> <br/>Adopted animals are not able to go to their new home until spay and neuter surgery has been done. <br/>Adoptions are first come first serve, and no appointment or application is needed. Plano Animal Shelter's Adoption Policy

Adoptions are first come first serve. There is no application. Anyone over 18 years of age is eligible to adopt provided that they meet the adoption criteria for that specific animal. Criteria can range from having basic knowledge of the animal’s species or breed, having an established veterinary history, not having young children, the animal being legal to own in the city they live in, the breed they’re interested in being accepted at their apartments, etc. If a potential adopter doesn’t meet the criteria in place for that animal, they will be encouraged to look at other animals that may not have those restrictions in place. The criteria must also be met in order to visit with an animal.
