Puppy

One month ago on February 17th I had a 7 week old puppy surrendered who had a deep wood splinter inside his tiny eye. Our vet ruled he needed an ophthalmologist to perform such a delicate surgery and referred us to Dr.Kyls at Forest Hill Animal Clinic. We were told the eye would rupture any day and emergency surgery was our only option to save the eye. <br/><br/>The community came together to save this puppy and on Feb 19th 2026 he had his eye surgery after $4065 of the $4250 was raised to fund it. The community came together to save this puppy in a miraculous way.<br/><br/>At 8am March 18th he gets his recheck to see how things have healed. <br/><br/>Now he enters his next journey, he needs a home. Spending 4 weeks in a cone with eye stitching was not easy for him or us. He has been heavily reliant on humans for everything and was never left alone for a minute to ensure that cone never came off and his eye was protected. <br/><br/>Born Dec 25th 2025 he is coming up on 12 weeks old this Thursday. We are looking for a home for him that has big breed experience as he is estimated to be 65-70lbs. He will need training inclusive of potty training, obedience training and potentially crate training so that he grows into a well mannered young dog before he is full grown. Training will be an adoption requirement.<br/><br/>He chases cats so I am looking for a cat free home or some very dog savvy kitties . He has done well with larger adult dogs (60lb+) but is alot of energy and can annoy them easily. He would need a confident well mannered patient dog to help him learn how to "Dog" properly. He definitely searches out canine companions. He also has not been alone to date and there would be an adjustment period for him to so he would be safe and calm. He should not be left alone for extended long periods while so young and learning. <br/><br/>He is a mixed bag of go go go baby menace with a big voice and a list of demands but also runs to you when scared and wants to be swaddled into a blanket burrito and cuddle at night. He has been doing well so far on short walks, not being vaccinated he has been limited to where he can go. Hates the cold. Just learned to go up stairs, hasnt mastered the down part yet. <br/><br/>There would be a veterinary schedule created and funded by the rescue that happens at Truscott Animal Hospital in Mississauga and with vet clearance he will start his vaccine schedule at 12wks, 16wks, 20wks and be microchipped. At approximately the end of June he will get a Rabies vaccine and will be neutered by Dr. Meawad.<br/><br/>He is currently fostered with me directly and my pack of dogs in the South Mississauga area.
