Pumpkin's Story

PUMPKIN
Calling tiny dog lovers! If you think miniature pumpkins are the cutest thing ever, do we have the girl for you. Pumpkin came to us on Thanksgiving day as a stray who was sadly likely abandoned, then was adopted, but that sadly hasn't worked out and now she's back with us. We've since learned this teeny gal needs a quiet, adult-only home, preferably one that doesn't have a ton of company coming over. She's nervous when first meeting people, but if given time to warm up, she's loving and loyal and has the potential to be as sweet as pumpkin pie with extra whipped cream.

This dachshund mix gal is about 2 years old. She's good with cats, and would probably do best as the only dog, as she doesn't love to share her toys. She loves to play like a wild woman when she thinks no one is watching, but gets a little bashful when she knows you're spying. If given the time, patience and love she deserves, Pumpkin will become your trusted confidant, your biggest fan and your BFF for life. Pumpkin is spayed, microchipped and up to date on vaccines.

Apply to adopt your new best friend on our website (link in bio) or at the sanctuary any time we're open. Call 570-376-3646 or email secondchanceas@yahoo.com with any questions.
>>> PA kennel license #04944

Second Chance Animal Sanctuaries's Adoption Policy
Our adoption process: 1) Fill out an application on our website at www.secondchanceas.org/adopt. Please note that submitting an inquiry through PetFinder or other online listing does not constitute an adoption application. Applications can also be downloaded as a pdf and emailed to secondchanceas@yahoo.com or filled out at the sanctuary any time we're open. 2) We will process your application by calling your veterinarian and personal references. How long this takes depends on how quickly we can reach them. You can help expedite this process by letting them know we'll be calling from the number 570-376-3646. We may also call you to ask additional questions or to share pertinent information about the animal you've applied for. 3) We will inform you of your application's status, usually in a few days to a week. Even if the animal you hoped to adopt goes to another home, you still may be approved to adopt another animal. We attempt to match animals to homes that best fit their personality/needs and vice versa. NOTE: You do not have to apply for a specific animal on your application. You can submit it as a "pre-application" for a certain size, age or breed of animal, and if approved, we can contact you if a possible match arrives at the shelter.
