Meet Pudge, a gentle year old Shih tzu mama who is just beginning to learn what love and safety feel like. She comes from an Amish puppy mill background, where human hands were not kind to her. Because of this, she is very shy and easily frightened—but every day she is learning that hands can offer comfort, not harm.<br/><br/>Pudge will need a calm, patient home willing to give her the time and space she needs to build trust at her own pace. A securely fenced yard is required, as she is still very fearful and not yet comfortable on a leash. <br/><br/>This sweet girl may not run up to greet you right away, but with time, consistency, and kindness, she has so much love to give.
