PRISS's Story
No dog belongs in a shelter, but when older ones, like Priss, end up here it is especially heartbreaking. Priss is a 13 year old, female, Lab mixed breed looking for a foster or forever home. After losing the person she loved most, she’s trying to navigate a brand new life without them. It’s a quiet kind of heartbreak that you can see and feel. Despite going through some of the worse days of her life, she remains gentle and loving. You can tell she was deeply cared for and she carries that love with her.
She’s everything you hope for in a companion! She is potty trained, walks nicely on leash, and gets along beautifully with both dogs and cats. Priss doesn’t need much. She’s not looking for chaos or adventure, just a peaceful home, a comfortable place to rest, and someone to sit beside. She still looks for that sense of belonging, and more than anything, she deserves to feel safe and loved again.
At this stage in her life, Priss deserves more than a kennel, she deserves a home filled with warmth, kindness, and quiet moments. If you have room in your heart for a senior dog who will give you gentle, unconditional love Priss is waiting to meet you!

ADOPTION INFORMATION

HOW TO GO ABOUT ADOPTING:
- Come in during adoption hours to apply and fill out an application completely.
