Princess Emerald's Story
Princess Emerald is new to our rescue and we are still learning about her. She is a 6 year old, 15 pound red, long haired, sweet dachshund mix. Her foster Mom says she can't stop playing with er adorable ears. She enjoys snuggling next to her human. She is crate trained and walks well on leash. She's very curious when I'm walking in the backyard. She seems fine with my dogs and I haven't heard a bark yet. She is happiest when her person is home or only gone for a short while. She is sleeping in the crate next to the big bed, she will whine is she needs to go out while in the crate. She sleeps through the night in the crate but that took the first few nights after surgery. She is mild mannered and has no problem taking her meds. She travels wee in a car. She hasn't had an accident in the house if taken out on a schedule. She recently was spayed, had a hernia repair and dental. She is now ready for adoption. If you are home a lot and have another dog in the home, she might be the one for you!
