Meet Princess
Princess (female)
Breed: Black Lab/Shepherd Mix

When Princess' owner passed away she was taken in by the vet of a Double Dog Rescue member. Princess was obese when she arrived at the vet clinic, so much so that she has been on a weight loss journey for the past year, having lost nearly half her body weight! While the vet believes she still has about 15 pounds to go, Princess is healthy, (her bloodwork is perfect and she is doing so well!) happy, and looking for a family to love her. Princess enjoys low key activities, such a going for walks, lounging with her person, going for rides, and doing a little sunbathing on a pretty day. This girl, aside from being a pretty Southern Belle, is easy going and loves everyone. She gets along beautifully with other dogs. Princess enjoys children, but we feel older, respectful children are ideal for her if her family has children. We are looking for a home that is both active enough to include her in daily walks (she needs to maintain her figure), but laid back enough that she can be the center of attention and have a relaxed home environment without a lot of rowdiness going on.
