Princess's Story

Princess should have been named Shadow as she literally just wants to follow you around for cuddles wherever and whenever she can get affection. We'd love for her dream to come true so she could be the centre of someone’s world.

Princess is 5 years old and low energy. She'd prefer to sunbathe than to venture too far on walks. She lived life on the streets and isn't keen to go back. She does like a soft toy to roll around in the grass with. Princess is dog selective and with her love for affection we think she'd like to be an only dog - though she does like to play with her shelter bestie (a big Husky cross).

What Princess wants more than anything else is to sit in your lap for all day cuddles making up for lost time. We think Princess might be a bull terrier x boston terrier – more the size of a Boston Terrier at under 40 lbs. Princess had eye surgery to remove one eye but gets on just fine without it. She is a smart girl that is easy and keen to please. She will figure out just about anything, including how to climb fences!

When Princess was first rescued she was not keen on cats, but she’s been practising and visits the cat area regularly now with calm and poise. She is spayed, healthy and vaccinated. She would just like to find a loving lap, and she’ll happily sunbathe and warm your heart.

More here:
https://youtube.com/shorts/TgjcCq_9kPw?si=mQA3-Ej_jlMazOkM
https://www.facebook.com/watch/?v=601396786166895

If you think you might be a fit, we’d love to hear from you at pvcaadoptions@gmail.com. Please check your junk mail for our response. Princess is in shelter at our sister sanctuary in Puerto Vallarta and can fly to BC (note that certain airlines will not fly her breed :( so we may need some time to flexibly get the flight we need, but we think she's worth it)

PVCA Animal Rescue's Adoption Policy
Our sister organization, the SPCA Puerto Vallarta, has a sanctuary, staff, trainer and medical team who work with the dogs and cats until they are deemed "adoptable". Once they pass their health exams, which include blood tests which certify they are able to cross borders, they are transported to Canada and/or the United States and enter foster or permanent homes. All our animals come sterilized, and fully vaccinated and dewormed. Our organization relies on the caring volunteers who open their homes and foster the animals until they are adopted. We do not have a sanctuary or shelter in Canada or the United States. Visits must be arranged and we prefer an adoption application to be filled out and approved before visitation.

Princess is from PVCA Animal Rescue

Our Mission
We are a committed group of volunteers who are dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation, and re-homing of neglected, abused, and abandoned animals. Primarily, all of our rescued animals come from the streets of Mexico.
