Princesa 's Story

Meet Princesa! She may have a regal name, but this girl is down-to-earth and ready to be just another member of your family. She's brave, scrappy, playful, and kid- and cat-tested and approved. She's a versatile companion - she can nap and entertain herself while you work from home, take long walks (she loves her walks!!) or runs to explore the city or woods, hunt for bugs and critters around your yard, play rough and tumble with her dog pals, and snuggle up quietly on the couch or bed.

Princesa was hit by a car as a pup and suffered some injuries that healed before proper orthopedic surgery could be done, but that doesn't slow her down one bit! One of her legs is shorter than the others, but she lives an active, pain-free life. She has an adorable hop and a unique sprinter stance, and we think she is perfect just the way she is!

Princesa was rescued in Tulum Mexico and fostered in a home with lots of other dogs. She then traveled to Chicago where she is being fostered while she looks for her forever home!

Princesa has proven herself to be very adaptable and will likely settle in to most environments, but she would especially thrive in a home with a yard, another playful dog, and a person/ family that has plenty of love to go around. Therefore we will only consider homes with another doggy playmate!
