Prince Louie's Story

Little PrinceMEET Louie!

This little fellow is ready for his castle! Initially scared of the world after being surrendered to the shelter when his owner moved without him (how rude!), he is now frolicking and happy in his new foster home. He tips the royal scales at just under 10 lbs and as a big boy (he already had his 1st birthday pawty) he knows all the big boy tricks of using the royal commode outside the castle as well as how to play jester for treats.

Seriously though, this guy is pretty much the total package. He is tiny, sweet, loves his humans hard (he may prefer the ladies, but as long as you take things slow with him when you first meet him he will warm up quickly) and is super cute. He hasn’t shown any indications that he would bite when he gets scared as little dogs often do, and we think he would probably just run if he got spooked.

Louie listens well and is very food motivated. He knows basic commands and would happily learn more from you if you use treats! He can get scared by loud noises, like any little man in a big world might. He has met kids and did well with them, has let bikes go by with no reaction, and likes to play with the resident doggies in his foster castle. Because he’s a teacup dog, he cannot go to a home with teacup kids in them (kids 12+ are fine!). He hasn’t been with cats but we suspect a dog-savvy cat would have no problem with the Prince.

Prince Louie’s adoption donation fee is $450, which includes spay/neuter, routine vetting and a microchip. You can apply for him by filling out our online application, which is found on our website www.tarashouse.org. Please email us at info@tarashouse.net with any questions.
