In the morning, Prince had a short walk with my other dog Ruby and proved himself to be quite nice on a leash. He ate his whole breakfast and then was ready for a long walk along the waterfront trail a bit later in the morning. What a gem he is! Waterfront can be quite busy this time of year but he handled it all like a champ. This boy loves his walks! Prince is also very nice with my two dogs and very respectful. Nice house manners.</div><br/><br/><div></div><br/><br/><div><strong>Foster Update: Aug. 4</strong> -- It's official, SPIN's Prince is a people's poodle! I've been letting Prince meet people in the neighbourhood and I think it's safe to say that he loves people.</div><br/><br/><div></div><br/><br/></div><br/><br/><div><br/><br/><div class="xdj266r x14z9mp xat24cr x1lziwak x1vvkbs"><br/><br/><div dir="auto"><strong>Foster Update: Aug. 10 -- </strong>He's a giant cuddly boy who loves to play with his favourite stuffy, tossing and shaking it around. He's great on leash, eats well (with a sprinkling of liver treat dust), and gets along really well with our dogs and cats. He's interested in the cats, sniffs them and kind of stands over them while they walk, but he's also really good at commands like "leave it". He does not move until you're ready to get going in the morning. He is happy to share the bed and moves willingly if you need him to give you some space.</span>Sleeping on the spare bed in the daytime. The window overlooks a popular walking trail, and he will often be peering out the window. He's so good about not barking at people and dogs walking by. Car rides. He jumps in willingly anticipating his next adventure. Nice and calm in the car. Walks. Prince is pretty good about not pulling on the leash with some caveats. He may lead you to his favourite sniff spots, but for the most part, he is happy to trot along beside you. If he sees a squirrel, he really wants to chase it, but it's pretty manageable unless the squirrel is taunting him from the tree or the fence.</li><br/><br/></ul><br/><br/></div><br/><br/><div class="html-div xdj266r x14z9mp xat24cr x1lziwak xexx8yu xyri2b x18d9i69 x1c1uobl" tabindex="-1"><br/><br/><ul><br/><br/><li class="html-div xdj266r x14z9mp x1lziwak xexx8yu xyri2b x18d9i69 x1c1uobl x1e56ztr">Some of the things I love about Prince: He is not a huge barker in the house. My own dog Ruby can bark at the wind and the first few days he would join her thinking she's barking at something important but he learned very quickly that she's not and now he does not even get up when she's barking. He is really good at ignoring dogs and people on our walks and I live in a neighbourhood with lots of trails and lots of action on the trails. Prince is very respectful with my dogs. This is important to me, especially since I have a senior frail dog. Prince is a very smart boy. He learns quickly what you want from him.
