Prince's Story

Prince wants the throne... and the couch

Prince is a 2-year-old Doberman who was found in McEwen shortly after graduation in May, and he has been with us for over a month now.

And yall... look at him.
The face. The stance. The whole royal attitude.
He knows hes handsome, and honestly, hes not wrong.

Prince is sweet with people, loves attention, enjoys being outside, and walks well on leash. He has that loyal Doberman personality and just wants a person of his own to love. He is also good with kids, and yes we have pictures to prove it.

Now, we do want to be honest about our royal guy. Prince is a reactive dog, especially around other dogs, and he needs to be the only animal in the home. No dogs, no cats, no small animals just Prince.

But honestly... he is a Prince, so maybe he just thinks hes above sharing his kingdom with other animals.
He wants the castle, the couch, the snacks, and the people all to himself.

Being reactive does not mean Prince is a bad dog. It just means other animals are not his thing, and he needs a home that understands that. He would do best with someone who can give him structure, patience, and a calm home where he can be the one and only.

Prince has been overlooked for over a month, and it really is sad. A dog this handsome and sweet should not be growing up in a shelter kennel. He should be in somebodys yard, riding shotgun, getting treats, taking walks, hanging out with his people, and being loved like the royal boy he is.

Please share Prince. Please talk about him. Please help us find the person who can give him the right home.

Prince needs a home.
Prince needs a person.
Prince needs his castle.

Waverly Animal Shelter
Humphreys County Humane Society
108 Young Rd, Waverly, TN 37185
931-296-7319
animals@hchswaverly.com

Shelter Hours:
Monday & Friday: 8:00 AM-4:30 PM
Closed for lunch: 12:00-1:00 PM
Tuesday-Thursday: 8:00 AM-1:00 PM
