Prince's Story
The Gentle Giant Who Thinks Life Is Pretty Great

Prince is what happens when someone accidentally puts a baby soul inside a really big puppy.

Born this spring and already tipping the scales at around 40 pounds, Prince is what we lovingly call a big ol' dumpy puppy. We think he's probably a mix of Labrador Retriever and another large breed—maybe Great Dane, Cane Corso, or something equally oversized—but honestly, we're just guessing. Whatever his breed mix is, one thing is certain: this boy is pure sweetness.

Prince has never met a stranger. Seriously... if you walk through the front door, he'll greet you like he's been waiting all week for your arrival. His foster says he absolutely loves meeting new people and has a habit of showering everyone with kisses. In Prince's world, everyone deserves a warm welcome.

He's also the perfect balance of playful and peaceful.

Prince isn't the kind of puppy who's constantly bouncing off the walls. He still loves a good romp around the yard, complete with the sweetest play bows, plenty of bouncing around with the other dogs, and a squeaky toy whenever one is available. Watching a 40-pound puppy enthusiastically bow and wiggle his way into a game is enough to make anyone smile.

But once the fun is over? Prince is perfectly content to wander over to the deck, plop himself down, and quietly watch the backyard like he's got the whole world figured out. Birds flying overhead. Squirrels causing unnecessary drama. Leaves blowing across the yard. To Prince, it's all worth watching.

Honestly... he's kind of an old soul disguised as a puppy.

One of our favorite things about Prince is how naturally easygoing he is. He and his sister Sadie happily share toys—especially squeaky ones—and he's wonderful with other dogs. There's no need to be the boss. No need to win every game. He's just happy to be part of whatever's going on.

And when the day winds down? His favorite place is wherever his people are. Sometimes that's stretched out on a dog bed. Sometimes it's curled up on the bed beside his foster, sleeping soundly because, in Prince's mind, home isn't really a place. It's the people you love.

Prince is the kind of dog who makes life feel a little slower in the best possible way. He'll remind you to sit outside for a while. To laugh at a goofy play bow. To throw one more squeaky toy. To enjoy quiet mornings and peaceful evenings with a loyal friend by your side.

Some dogs demand your attention. Prince simply earns your heart. And once he has it...We don't think you'll ever want it back.

+++++++

ADOPTION APPLICATION:
https://form.jotform.com/260401018308040

+++++++

Prince is currently being fostered in NH and will be transported to the perfect forever home by our rescue! We have transports departing each week!

+++++++

The Truth About Rescue:

Every rescue pup is a work in progress and thats the beauty of it. None of them come wrapped in a bow, ready-made or mistake-free. They come with stories, quirks, and hearts that have seen a lot but still choose to trust again.

Adoption isn't about perfection; its about presence. Showing up for them, every day, until they know they're finally home. Thats when you'll see them bloom soft and steady into the very best version of themselves. And somewhere along the way, you'll realize they were never the only one being rescued.

+++++++

Once we have received your application, we will review and reach out to set-up an interview with one of our volunteers! If you have additional questions, please email us at SaintMuttsInquiries@gmail.com.

Note: As with all of our rescues, we recommend homes with children 10 years and over to ensure the best fit for both the pets and families involved.

Check out all of our adoptable pups and learn more about our rescue on our website: www.stmuttsrescue.com
