Primrose *Adoption Pending*'s Story

COMING SOON TO RESCUE: Primrose says this about her...... How can I Summarize Primrose in such a small space? There are so many things to say because she is just the best girl! Let me start at the beginning and you can get to know her through my eyes and heart. Prim came from not the best situation with a breeder. She never learned to be a dog or to feel love. When she came to us she was absolutely terrified of the entire world around her including us. To the point she had to be picked up and carried outside. , She quickly grew to trust myself(Mom) and my 10 year old daughter but it took several months for her to even acknowledge the adult male in the household without complete fear and wanting to run and hide. Because of her previous home life and myself being in a wheelchair she is not housebroken. Given the time though she will get it and will be someone's or some families bestie! About 9 months later you would almost not know she came to us that way! Prim is all about her people and if they are doing it that's what she wants to be doing also! She has more of a couch potato personality but does have her moments where she loves to play. Especially when we come home she gets excited and likes when you stomp your feet and she will pounce down and zoom around. She is hilarious when you give her cherry tomatoes ( if she can get close enough to the vine she will steal them ) she plays with them like a ball before she eats them. She LOVES children and her favorite thing to do is pick up "her girl" from school and see all the kids. If you sit facing her on a bed or couch and ask her for "huggies" she will let you hug on her and put her chin on your shoulder. Rub her ears while she's there and she might just stay there forever. Primmy is very quiet and you won't hear her make noise or bark unless she thinks she's alone or she's playing. She likes to dance and hug around your waist if her mood is right. She has the biggest underbite and her top lip gets tucked sometimes and she just looks at you with her "teef" lol. She is used to being put in outfits and doesn't really make a fuss about them and she looks pretty great in tutus! I could probably go on forever about all her great things and little quirks but the bottom line is if someone has the patience to help her with potty training she is going to be the most loving and loyal best friend to the luckiest person!

Minnesota Boxer Rescue's Adoption Policy
Our adoption process: 1. Completing an Adoption Application - Click here for why this is important! We screen potential adopters very carefully in order to find the best possible match for both you and our foster dogs. All adoptions are expected to be lifetime commitments! You must be at least 21 years of age to apply for adoption. We require that you complete the entire application including the contact name/ phone number of veterinarian, and 2 non-related personal references with email addresses and phone numbers. If your application is not complete, it will not be processed. MN Boxer Rescue does not usually place female Boxers in homes with other female Boxers or bully breeds. To have two female boxers live happily ever after takes the right personality and temperament between the two dogs. If you have questions about this policy, please email our Adoption Coordinator directly at adopt@minnesotaboxerrescue.onmicrosoft.com A fenced yard is required to adopt a deaf or blind dog. 2. Veterinarian and Personal Reference Check All pets in your home MUST be up to date on all vaccinations, receive heartworm preventive, and MUST be spayed/neutered. Once your references are checked, a volunteer will contact you to schedule a home visit. 3. Home Visit The purpose of the home visit is to inspect the surroundings in which our foster dogs will live, meet all household family members, address any major concerns, and get to know you better. (We are not at your home to pass judgment on your housekeeping skills.) 4. Adoption Fee Our adoption fee is based on the age and health of our dogs. The fee can range from $200.00 - $500.00.
