Meet Potato 🥔<br/><br/>Don’t let the name fool you—this little guy is full of personality and love! Potato is an approximately 1-year-old French Bulldog with a resilient spirit and the sweetest heart. After coming into care with a dislocated hip, he underwent surgery (FHO) and has been working hard in physical therapy. He still has a bit of a limp, but with continued PT and keeping him at a healthy weight, he’s expected to keep thriving.<br/><br/>Potato absolutely adores people. He’s the perfect mix of playful and snuggly—whether he’s engaging in a fun game or happily lounging right by your side, he just wants to be close to his humans.<br/><br/>When it comes to other animals, Potato can be a bit particular. He currently lives with several dogs and even has a few playmates he loves to wrestle and play tug with! However, he can be selective and sometimes reactive, especially around food or when he feels protective of “his” person. Because of this, he may do best as the only dog in the home, or with an experienced adopter willing to continue training and guidance.<br/><br/>As for cats, Potato is curious and playful, but respectful—he listens when they set boundaries (even if it involves a quick swat!).<br/><br/>Potato is looking for a loving home that will continue to support his recovery and appreciate his quirky, affectionate personality.
