Portia's Story

Meet Portia! This big, beautiful Golden mix loves treats, pets, and sitting outside like she pays the mortgage. She does well with other dogs and cats, and squirrel watching is her favorite hobby.

Long walks? No thanks. Toys? Still a mystery. Treat-time tippy taps? Her specialty.

Portia comes equipped with camel-sized paws that sometimes slip on smooth floors, so a home with carpet or rugs helps her keep her footing. She’s looking for good company, a comfy nap spot, and someone who appreciates a girl who’d rather hang out than work out.

Portia is located in Germantown, Maryland. Prior to being approved for adoption we complete a vet check and home visit and then finally schedule a meet & greet so they can meet the dog.
