Poppy's Story

4-year-old King Charles Spaniel / Australian Shepherd Mix - 35 lbs.

Poppy is a sweet, affectionate, and people-loving girl looking for her forever home. She is a wonderful family dog and has done beautifully with children of all ages. Friendly and social, Poppy enjoys meeting new people and plays well with other dogs. She is currently learning polite on-leash greetings, and with continued guidance, she will continue to improve.

Poppy hasn’t spent much time alone, so a new home should be prepared for some initial vocalization or adjustment when she is left. Because of this, we feel she would be best suited to a house with a small yard rather than an apartment or condo. Access to nearby dog parks or open spaces would be a big bonus—she loves to run, play, and socialize.

🎾 What Poppy Loves:

Chasing balls and frisbees

Soft plush toys

Playing with canine friends

Spending time with her people

🏡 At Home:

Kennels well indoors

Calm and affectionate

Eager to please

🩺 Health & Training Notes:

Sustained a paw injury as a young pup; it does not currently bother her, but we recommend avoiding excessive high-impact activity

No formal training, but she knows many cues including sit, down, stay, touch, off, shake a paw (both!), and more

Poppy would thrive in a home that can provide companionship, gentle structure, and opportunities for play and enrichment. She has so much love to give and is ready to be a loyal, fun-loving addition to the right family.

If you think Poppy could be the perfect match for your home, we’d love to hear from you! 💕
