Meet Popeye
Looks like: Chiweenie- Min Pin mix
Male, 11 years old, 11 pounds
Being around Popeye will remind you to always look on the bright side of life. This sweet, friendly boy greets the world with a smile and a happy tail wag. Though spinach isn't his go-to, he loves treats almost as much as he loves joining his human best friends on long walks and just-as-long snuggle sessions. He adores meeting new people, who he's more than happy to coat with kisses.
Popeye is missing one eye, but sees just fine with the other! He's also being checked out by our cardiologist as he does have a heart murmur. However, this is quite common in older dogs and may not require long-term medication. Popeye does well with other dogs, but he does enjoy chasing cats and would probably do best in a home without a feline friend. We haven't had a chance to see Popeye with children, so we want to ensure that small kids are respectful and interactions are monitored.
Popeye came to us from the SPCA Monterey County. Due to his senior status, they thought he would like to join POMDR to find his forever home!
