Pop Tart's Story
Pop Tart has his sad boy pout down to a science.
The result is getting volunteers to feel bad and take him out first. Pop Tart is no sad boy outside though. He is a treat-aholic and would rather show his belly in the air than sit for his snacks. Pop Tart does have the ability to sit, we triple verified his legs bend. He does have a weird lump on his back that might need medical care beyond what the shelter can provide. Hes cute and just the right mix of fun antics.

Chicago Animal Care and Control is located at 2741 S. Western Ave., Chicago, IL, and is open from 12pm to 7pm daily. Walk-in visitors are welcome and helped on a first-come, first-served basis. If you are planning to adopt the day you visit, please plan to arrive before 5:30pm. Visitors arriving after 5:30pm will still be able to view animals in Pavilions A-B-C until 7pm.

All dogs will be spayed/neutered and vaccinated before adoption.

All household members should be present to meet dogs (especially those under 18 and any decision-makers).

We recommend and can arrange dog-to-dog meet and greets for your current dog(s) to meet a potential dog sibling at the shelter. You will need to show proof of up-to-date rabies vaccination for your dog(s). Slow, cautious, and appropriate introductions are recommended after you allow time for decompression for the shelter dog.

If you have any questions, please email caccpetfinder@gmail.com
