Hi, I'm Pookie!<br/><br/>I came to Mississauga Animal Services after my previous family could no longer provide the care I needed. Now, I'm searching for my forever home-one that's ready for plenty of adventures and lots of fun!<br/><br/>I'm a 5-year-old American Bully, and since arriving at the shelter, I've been spayed, microchipped, dewormed, and fully vaccinated. <br/><br/>I'm a very athletic girl and always looking forward to my next walk. One of my favourite activities has been running on the slat treadmill, where I've perfected my gait while getting exercise and staying mentally engaged. I love having a job to do and staying active!<br/><br/>I've been tested with other dogs, and while I prefer people much more than canine company, I can sometimes lack patience with other dogs. Because of that, I'd do best as the only pet in the home. Don't worry though-I have more than enough love to give my human family! I absolutely love meeting new people and am always excited to say hello.<br/><br/>I haven't been formally tested with children, but a home with kids aged 10 and older would likely be the best fit. I can be a bit of a bull in a china shop when I'm excited, and sometimes I don't realize just how strong and enthusiastic I am.<br/><br/>I've also completed four training sessions and know my basics very well. I can show off commands like sit, paw, and down, and I'm always eager to learn more-especially if treats are involved!<br/><br/>If you're looking for a fun, active, affectionate companion who loves people and is ready for her next big adventure, I just might be the girl for you.
