Pony Girl's Story

Pony Girl (so named for the "Stay Golden Ponyboy" line from The Outsider's) has had a very tough life so far. We thought things were improving. She's gained so much of her coat back, her infection was gone, she was playing and happy. She went to an amazing foster family and was doing great. Then the news all changed. She was diagnosed with cancer. Not a treatable cancer. She's on medication to make whatever time she has left happy and her foster family is dedicated to ensuring her last weeks/months will be full of happiness. If you want to meet or visit with her to show her some love please reach out to us. She loves car rides and does love people. She can be a little wary/shy at first, but does warm up to new people. She's been through so much in her life :(
At Autumn Acres Animal Rescue we believe each individual animal matters. We take in special cases some of which will stay with us as a sanctuary dog.

If the animal is listed as a Socially Imperfect Dog this means they have special needs and special requirements for potential adopters.

If the animal is listed as a Socially Imperfect RESIDENT this animal is NOT available for adoption and is one of our sanctuary residents. We list them on our sites because they still matter and they still need donations to help with their long term care.

Check out our website for more information: http://www.autumnacres.org
