Poncho's Story

Hi, I’m Poncho! I’m a 3-year-old Yorkshire Terrier weighing 14 pounds, and I’m ready to find my forever person. I came from a high-kill shelter in Texas, but now I’m safe and settling into foster life in Albion, Michigan. I may be small, but my heart is huge — and I’m saving it just for my special someone.

I’m a true little companion dog. Wherever you go, I’d love to follow. Whether you’re moving from room to room, relaxing on the couch, or heading to bed, I’m happiest when I’m close to my people. I get along fine with other dogs, but I’m much more focused on my humans than on playtime. I’m not a wanderer and naturally stay nearby. I’m housebroken, do well on a consistent routine, and take pride in being a good boy.

I have slight vision loss after a case of conjunctivitis, but I'm all better now and it doesn't slow me down one bit. I’m neutered, microchipped, and up to date on all vaccinations and preventatives — all ready for my next chapter. If you’re looking for a loyal, loving little shadow who will adore you completely, I just might be your guy.

Please apply to adopt me here:
https://adopt.animalsfirst.com/animal/63adcb00cb896f59b74103d2/6998b6cf0179fd3a5f0f1b76

———

If interested, please do not submit an inquiry through Petfinder.
