Polly Pocket's Story
Polly is an amazing little girl with a heart as big as her smile! Paralyzed in her hind legs, she was found abandoned in the lobby of the Riverside County Department of Animal Services. When the shelter reached out for help, we welcomed this resilient girl into the Frosted Faces family, and she's been winning hearts ever since!

Polly doesn't let challenges slow her down. She's incredibly sweet, friendly, and full of joyful spirit. Every person she meets is a new friend, and she lives for attention-pets, belly rubs, snuggles, all of it! Outfitted with her custom wheels, Polly amazed us by how quickly she adapted, happily letting us help her in and out before zooming off like a pro. She's also great at getting around by scooting. Be sure to check out the videos of Polly on the move!

Polly recent returned from a Frosted Fling to enjoy spending time in a home while she waits for the very special family who will love her forever. Wondering what like with Polly is like and what her care entails? Her Foster Mom explains:

"Polly Pocket rolled in 3 weeks ago like a dance party on wheels and instantly made herself at home. Her daily agenda: food (she loves veggies), snuggling literally any human of any size, and whatever hilarious side quest she invents. Yes, her back legs don't work. She hasn't noticed. She crushes 2mile hikes in her wheels like she's training for an ultra, then rides in a backpack when she's tired (22 lbs-functional fitness, people).

POTTY TALK since you're all curious: Yes, she's incontinent. No, it's not a big deal. She yells when she needs to pee and poops on a schedule like she's synced to Google Calendar. I express her bladder (think squeezing the end of a toothpaste tube). Her diaper stays dry 90% of the time. Truly, it's manageable, and I'm happy to walk anyone through our routine.

More importantly: Polly has met humans of all ages and sizes and has been perfect with every one. She's a professional snuggler who charms entire families. I work from home, and she spends most of the day on my lap, snoring.

Two things about Polly and other animals: (1) She is the CEO; other dogs are interns. Her management style is firm. This works great for my dog Rumble, who loves a strong woman and happily follows her even when she headbops him out of the way. But if your dog has maincharacter energy, that's a no. (2) Polly considers herself a big dog with a prey drive. She cannot live with small animals, including dogs smaller than her.

Bottom line: Polly will make you laugh until you can't breathe. Every single day. This 22lb comedian deserves a rad human ready to have the time of their life."

To meet our resilient, amazing Polly, please email placement@frostedfacesfoundation.org
