Polly Pocket's Story

Polly is an amazing little girl with a heart as big as her smile! Paralyzed in her hind legs, she was found abandoned in the lobby of the Riverside County Department of Animal Services. When the shelter reached out for help, we welcomed this plucky girl into the Frosted Faces family, and she's been stealing hearts ever since.

Polly doesn't let challenges slow her down. She's incredibly sweet, friendly, and full of joyful spirit. Every person she meets is a new friend, and she lives for attention-pets, belly rubs, snuggles, all of it! Outfitted with her custom wheels, Polly amazed us by how quickly she adapted, happily letting us help her in and out before zooming off like a pro. She's also great at getting around by scooting. Be sure to check out the videos of Polly on the move!

Polly is currently on a Frosted Fling to enjoy spending time in a home while she waits for the very special family who will love her forever. Wonder what taking care of Polly involves? Her Fling Mom shares:

If you asked Polly Pocket, I'm pretty sure she'd tell you she owns the place! Here's what we have learned about her so far:
She loves toys and bones more than anything and loves choosing her favorites out of the basket and bringing them to various places throughout the house
Although she may be hind end paralyzed she is HIGHLY mobile and gets around the house just as quickly as my dog Rumble
Speaking of Rumble, he thinks Polly is great. Just great. I'll let the videos speak for themselves-he loves a confident woman (men take note!) and Polly checks that box big-time!
Polly loves going on walks and has gone up to a mile. She gets so excited when she sees her wheels coming out that she hops around like a bunny and snorts like a pig.
excuse the potty talk, but it seems to be everyone's question so here's the answer: yes, Polly generally seems to know when she has to go (both kinds) and she will alert by going to the door or getting squirmy. Her schedule is predictable and she generally goes on her own, but expressing her has been easy peasy, and I'm saying that as someone who had never done it before!"

Stay tuned for the next update from Polly's fling home!

To meet our resilient, amazing Polly, please email placement@frostedfacesfoundation.org
