Polar is currently living in a foster home with large dogs and cats. She enjoys trying to play with the cats (she’s still learning they may not feel the same way ).<br/><br/>Polar is crate-trained and stays in her crate when her foster is away or at night for her safety. She’s doing great with potty training, with only a few accidents since arriving in her foster home. She already knows how to sit and will go to her crate when asked—such a smart girl!<br/><br/>She is spayed, up to date on vaccines, microchipped, and receives monthly heartworm prevention.<br/><br/>A little more about Polar:<br/><br/>Born: September 19, 2025<br/><br/>Breed: German Shepherd / Alaskan Malamute mix<br/><br/>Personality: Intelligent, eager to please, and quick to learn<br/><br/>Energy level: Active—she’ll thrive in a home that can keep her engaged<br/><br/>Polar is currently learning leash skills and boundaries like staying in the yard and coming when called. She’s making great progress but will need continued training and consistency to help her fully master these skills.<br/><br/>As a Shepherd/Malamute mix, she does shed, and she doesn’t mind bath time. With warmer weather coming, we’re excited to see how she enjoys a doggie pool!<br/><br/>Polar would be an excellent candidate for puppy classes.
