Pokey's Story

Meet Pokey! Pokey is a sweet little yorkie and he's doing great in his foster home after being abandoned by his family. He is sweet, playful, curious, loves walks, and has a lot of energy for an older guy. He does wear a belly band in the house as he does try to mark some. He has gotten a lot better and may not need it long term. Pokey is currently fostered with Jet Wag dog Bibi, and he gets along well with other dogs. He's been on outings to breweries and is a perfect gentleman. Pokey is currently located in Atlanta but transport is available up the east coast for an additional fee. Please fill out our application to adopt Pokey: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1TXF09l3pR2lxqJozfKXfJ4TeisphHLm84nOOPmuIDys/

Please note that all other animals in the home are expected to be spayed/neutered and up to date on vaccines.

Jet Wag Animal Rescue's Adoption Policy
All potential adopters have to fill out an adoption application and we conduct a background check, home check, and vet check. We then schedule a video call between the potential adopter and one of our volunteers where we conduct an interview and give them the opportunity to ask questions about the animal and the process. If all goes well with that, we schedule a meet and greet with the adopter (and any current pets) with the potential new pet. To finalize an adoption the adopter must sign an adoption contract and pay the adoption fee. Included in the adoption contract is the mandate that if they need to return / rehome their pet they must contact us immediately so we can work to find foster / adoption placement. We stay in close contact with all adopters after the adoption is completed.
