Plutonium's Story

Plutonium was born on January 27th, 2024. DNA on her brother shows 55% Doberman, 19% American Foxhound, 11% Boxer and 5% each Lab, Husky, and Mastiff. Plutonium is full of goofy charm and affection. After a day of romping with her foster siblings, she loves nothing more than curling up around your neck like a fuzzy scarf. She's got a big personality, zero interest in the cat in her foster home, and every intention of hogging your bed (and your heart). She also has had ZERO accidents in her foster home.

Pluto's quirks (she has a few, but we love her all the more for them). She doesn't like when strangers offer a hand to sniff first. Nope, just go right in for the pets, and she'll melt right in. She likes a confident person. When meeting new dog friends, she needs to voice her opinion (aka: a few grumbles) before deciding they're play worthy. She's been thriving at the Omaha Dog Bar and learning that new friends aren't so bad. This is also helping build her confidence.

If you're looking for a unique, affectionate, entertaining, and stunning companion, Plutonium is your girl.

Please visit www.handsheartspaws.org for an adoption application

All of our dogs are current on vaccinations, spayed/neutered, microchipped, fecal tested, heartworm tested, and they are all on heartworm and flea/tick preventative.

The adoption process is an application, a vet reference, a home visit, and a lifetime contract. The requested adoption donation for this dog is $350___.

We do not REQUIRE a fenced in yard (some dogs DO REQUIRE a fence. Decide what is best for each dog), we do REQUIRE a means of safe outside containment. We do NOT adopt to homes that use invisible fencing. Invisible fencing is NOT a safe means of outside containment.

We are willing to adopt out-of-state, contingent on our ability to complete a home visit, but you must travel to Omaha to complete the adoption. We do not transport or ship our dogs.
