Pluto Chihuahua Mix Corona, CA

Meet Pluto! He is a very handsome two-year-old Chihuahua mix who is looking for a very exceptional pawrent. Pluto was on the kill list at Riverside Shelter for being fearful as he was 1 of 41 dogs who were confiscated by the police from a hoarding situation. Fortunately he was rescued and now lives in a loving foster home. Understandably is was very sad and broken but has made some amazing progress along the way. Pluto loves other dogs and does well with all sizes. He very much prefers female human companions as we believe whoever hoarded him was a male and probably not kind to him. He has a strong inclination to run from men and cower when he sees them. Pluto absolutely loves to snuggle on the couch and lay with his pawrent. Walking on a leash is still a work in progress because he is scared but he is getting better all the time. Sweet Pluto would thrive with a fur sibling to show him the ropes but it's not necessary. What Pluto truly needs is a home who will love him, work with him and understand his little anxieties from his horrific start to life. He needs a home with patience and caring and willingness to help continue to build his confidence. He is such a special boy and a true diamond in the rough.
