Pixie Lou's Story

Pixie Lou is 7 years old and weighs about 23 lbs. Shes a super sweet girl who loves to lounge in your lap. Her ideal home would be with a retired family or someone who works from home. Her favorite thing, above toys and treats and playing with other dogs in the home, is attention from her foster parents! Although we dont promise our dogs to be housebroken, shes done very well with her potty training! Her new family will need to have a secure fenced yard. Pixie Lou is a gem of a girl and is a very easy foster! Pixie Lous adoption fee is $250 and she's being fostered in Tulsa.

Boston Terrier and Short Nose Rescue of Oklahoma's Adoption Policy

All Boston Terrier and Short Nose Rescue of Oklahoma dogs are fully vetted at the time of adoption which includes spay/neuter, all vaccines - Rabies, Bordetella, and DHLP - along with heartworm check and the first month of preventative, and a vet check. Adoption fees vary per dog, but generally range from $250 to $750 depending on age and what vetting the dog required. The adoption fee is on a cash basis, is non-refundable, and is due at the time of the adoption. All adoption agreements state that the dog will be returned to the rescue if the adopter can no longer keep the dog for any reason. We highly recommend allowing at least a month for a dog to adjust; oftentimes settling into a new home can take time and lots and lots of patience. Since we are run by a group of volunteers who have full-time jobs as well, the application process can take a little while. On average, applications are processed within a week and include checking veterinary and personal references, background checks, and home visits. Also since we are foster based the dog may be located in Muskogee, Tulsa, or OKC.
