Pippin's Story

Meet Pippin – your future best friend and full-time fetch enthusiast

Pippin is a 4-year-old, 12 lb Min Pin mix with a big personality packed into a tiny frame. He's the perfect mix of playful and snuggly—always ready for a game of fetch, but just as happy curled up next to you at the end of the day.

This little guy is:

House trained (needs a family who will continue reinforcing all the work he's done)

Crate trained

Dog-friendly

A professional vibe-matcher

Seriously—Pippin adjusts beautifully to his environment. Want a walking buddy? He's in. Prefer a cozy night on the couch? He's already under the blanket. He really takes his cues from his people and fits right in.

He's great with other dogs but would also do just fine soaking up all the attention as an only dog. He'd do best with kids 5+ and, while he's been around cats, he's still undecided from day to day, usually depending on the vibe of the cat... so a cat-free home is probably the safest bet.

And we can't forget—Pippin loves fetch. Like, loves it. If you've got a ball, you've got his whole heart.

Pippin was recently diagnosed with mild epilepsy, which is well-managed with daily medication. He's doing great and living life like any other happy pup—he'll just need a family committed to keeping him on his routine.

If you're looking for a fun, adaptable, and affectionate little sidekick, Pippin might be your perfect match.

Apply to adopt through Midwest K9 Rescue

https://www.midwestk9rescue.org/adoption/

We have a thorough application that is completed by the applicant. This includes number and age of people in household, hours away from the home, other pets in the home, and yard type (enclosed, community, etc.) Once we receive this information, we do a vet reference check for existing pets which must be current and up to date on vaccines AND spayed/neutered. We complete a public background check, auditor check (or) do a landlord verification for pet policy confirmation and a phone screen with the applicant before a meet and greet is set up. If for any reason we are not comfortable with or feel that the applicant is not a suitable match for our pet, then we will not complete the adoption.
