Piper - IN FOSTER HOME - AVAILABLE TO ADOPT's Story
Piper – the softest little sidekick you’ll ever meet!

We thought we knew soft… until we met Piper. This lovable, petite Pomeranian mix is as gentle and easygoing as she is irresistibly plush—and she’s ready to find her forever home.

Piper is approximately 1 year old and weighs just 15 pounds. She came to us from a hoarding situation, and despite her past she is confident, happy, and wonderfully well-adjusted. She has a naturally calm, steady presence—she doesn’t startle easily at everyday household sounds or activity—but she’s far from a “sit on the sidelines” dog. Piper is engaged, content, and very much enjoys being part of whatever her people are doing.

Piper does have epilepsy, which is currently well controlled with medication. Her meds are simple to administer (she happily takes them mixed into a little wet food) and cost approximately $7 monthly. She doesn’t let this slow her down one bit, but she will need a family committed to keeping her on her routine.

In her foster home, Piper has proven to be a delightful companion. She’s playful in a sweet, easygoing way, quietly curious, and not much of a barker. She loves being near her people and will happily follow you from room to room—whether you’re exercising, cooking, folding laundry, or just relaxing. She’s gentle with adults, children, and other dogs, and enjoys friendly playtime with her foster brother.

Piper has a moderate energy level and is a great mix of “let’s go” and “let’s relax.” She enjoys daily walks, where she explores calmly and gently on leash, and she’s always up for a car ride or a little adventure. At home, she’s just as happy unwinding—especially if there’s a sunny spot where she can stretch out and soak up the day, be it indoors or in a secure area outside.

She chews appropriate toys but does not destroy household items. She is crate-trained, doing well with house training, and can be left home alone in her crate without showing signs of anxiety.

Piper is spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped—completely ready for her next chapter.

If you’re looking for a dog who is calm and connected—happy to join your day and then settle in to cuddle right beside you at night—Piper might be your perfect match.

Apply to meet Piper at redbarnrescue.com
