Meet Piper, a sweet, sensitive girl who is learning that the world — and humans — can be kind. <br/><br/>Her past left her cautious, but every day in foster care she’s proving just how much love she has to give.<br/><br/>Piper is gentle and very submissive with other dogs and truly thrives with canine companionship. <br/><br/>She needs another dog in the home to help her feel safe and confident — her dog friends are her comfort zone, her teachers, and her joy.<br/><br/>Once she trusts you, Piper shows her softer side:<br/><br/> Belly rubs are a top-tier favorite<br/> She enjoys snuggling (on her terms — when she gets warm, she politely relocates <br/>Sweet, playful, and independent all wrapped into one perfect pup<br/>She’s extremely playful, loves to run, swim, and chew, and there’s definitely some retriever/bird dog magic in her DNA — ducks, geese, and chickens have her full attention! <br/><br/>Piper is:<br/>✔️ Great with other dogs<br/>✔️ Gentle and respectful with cats (she wants to play, not hurt)<br/>✔️ Wonderful with kids — she’s been amazing with a 10-year-old<br/>✔️ Crate-friendly and uses it as her safe space<br/>✔️ A bedtime snuggler (she’ll happily sleep with you or your kiddo)<br/><br/>House training is coming along, but Piper will need a secure fenced yard while she settles in, as leash pottying is still a work in progress. <br/><br/>Once she learns what “home” really means, she’ll keep growing.<br/> Sweet baby.
