Jasper County Humane Society

Tracy Campbell started rescuing animals from JCAS in 2014, 1 at a time. She would have them vetted, then find them great homes. She realized that the need was greater than one at a time, and she teamed up with Michelle Bryant, also a Jasper county resident and animal lover, to recreate the Humane Society that had been lying dormiant for quite some time. Both women have full time jobs, mothers and grandmothers, but have dedicated all spare time to help and assist Jasper County Animal Shelter in their need of overcrowding. Jasper County Humane Society offers low cost spay/neuters, rabies/vaccination clinics and also can provide low cost assistance to our residents in need. We also are working on helping the animals that are tethered thru education as well as assistance with pet owners for find appropriate ways to keep an animal contained. Our mission is to reduce our county's euthansia rate, stop the backyard breeding, help our community having pets altered and contained humanely thru education and efforts. In March 2025 Kristy Stephens has stepped in to head up the TNR program. In the first 90 days, she has been able to TNR 100 cats/kittens and feeding over 80 community colonies on a daily basis.
