Meet PIPER!<br/><br/>***Piper is being fostered in Falls Church, VA now and is ready for a meet and greet with any potential adopter!***<br/><br/>He is a whopping 7 lbs and estimated to be 12-13 weeks old as of April 19, 2026. We think he’s a Chihuahua mixed with some sort of terrier and Lab. And yes - that's actually possible! His estimated full-grown weight will be around 20ish pounds (best guess).<br/><br/>Piper is a typical happy and sweet puppy! <br/><br/>He is excellent with other dogs as you’d expect from a happy puppy! We know he’d be good with cats as well given his age and personality.<br/><br/>He is also good with kids and is being fostered in a home with children.<br/><br/>He is up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations.<br/><br/>Please feel free to email us with any questions about him! FlyDogzPR's Adoption Policy
FlyDogzPR upholds a thorough adoption process. The steps are as follows: 1) The potential adopter fills out a detailed adoption application for a specific animal. 2) FlyDogzPR reviews the application and deems the application suitable for the animal. 3) If deemed a suitable home, FlyDogz contacts the potential adopter to schedule a virtual interview and home check during which time the potential adopter can ask questions about the animal and FlyDogz can further determine if the home is a good fit. 4) If FlyDogz wishes to proceed, references are contacted and the adopter’s veterinarian is called for past pet records and a reference. 5) If the potential adopter is cleared to adopt, a meet and greet with the animal (either in person or virtual) can be scheduled and if the adopter confirms he/she wishes to proceed and adopt the animal, then arrangements are made for contract to be signed, payment made, and animal to be given to the adopter.
