This sweet girl is a Chihuahua-Pittie mix and weighs 35 lbs. She should be 25 lbs if you are looking for a dieting buddy. Pip's 3.5 years old and has been waiting too long for her family to meet and fall in love with her. She lives in a cement kennel at a gun range but still meets constant volunteers with love and snuggles. Pip would much rather be sharing your couch.

General Behavior: Pip is affectionate from the moment you meet. She will follow her humans around everywhere they go. As a young adult and higher energy, she needs daily walks and romping in a fenced yard. Rain or shine. She takes snuggle time just as seriously.

Likes & Dislikes: Pip loves her people, ear scratches, walks, and the view on car rides. Pip would not like to be abandoned and forgotten again. She will eat up attention.

Training: Pip is crate and housetrained and has good basic manners. She has been undergoing training to stop excited 'nipping'. A strong alpha family is the key to that. Her trainer has taught our volunteers how to teach and control Pip and will share training with her new family. She does well on the leash and knows “sit”. Pip loves snacks. Being highly food motivated makes her a great candidate for further training.

Medical: Pip is undergoing tests at this time for possible bladder stones that are treated by a special diet.
Ok, diet, she could lose a little weight but an active home should take care of that. Kenneled she has lots of daily volunteer visitors, each giving her treats..Pip has been a healthy girl who's current on her vaccines, heartworm negative, microchipped and spayed. She needs monthly flea and heartworm medication.

Other Animals: When it comes to other dogs, Pip is a boss lady. She’s lived and played with other dogs in homes and on play dates, but wants to be leader. She’ll need a submissive friend who’s okay with Pip running the show. Monitored introductions come first.

Children: Pip has not been tested with children or cats. At this time we recommend older dog savvy children, teens, that can be a part of Pip's training.

Home: Pip will do best in a family home with a fenced yard where she can run around. Pip would be fine as an only dog with an active family that is home a lot.

Grooming: As a short-haired dog, Pip does not require elaborate grooming, regular baths and nail trims and she's good to go!

Overall: Pip is a loving, happy, friendly, mostly well behaved, affectionate little girl. She is ready to meet her forever family that will adore her as much as she will adore them. She needs a special diet to control new bladder stones. continued training, and will get help from ARNNE's trainer. If you think that you could be Pip's lovable savior, please, visit www.arnne.org and start by filling out an adoption request form.

ARNNE is a small, but mighty, group of pet loving volunteers.  We support the rescue/critical care/boarding expenses of local town/city animal control officers that otherwise only have authorization to vaccinate or euthanize.

Adoption fees, $450 for adult dogs, rarely cover the expenses of rescuing, boarding and providing exemplary medical care to the animals in our program. We do what we do through donations. All animals have had a thorough exam, are treated for any parasites or infections, spay/neutered, current on vaccines and micro-chipped.

For more information, please fill out an adoption request form at www.arnne.org.
https://arnne.org/adoption-form/ and we’ll be in touch.
Email adoption@arnne.org or call the shelter at 603-233-4801 and a volunteer will return your call.
