Pinky's Story

Hi, I'm Pinky, an energetic, submissive, affectionate, and loyal 1 year 7 month old German Spitz!

Originally, I was born into a home with a woman who had other pets. Things were okay at first even though she yelled a lot and wasn't very nice. Eventually, more dogs that looked like me came along and we began to multiply. We were never let outside, so we pottied inside and things started to get pretty messy. Some of my siblings got really sick... some of them even died. One day, people in uniforms came and we were taken to another place for over 10 months. Though we spent a lot of time in kennels, we finally went outside, which all of us loved so much! It's especially nice when the weather is warm, but winter is a blast!

But then, one day, we were brought to a place called Help From My Friends! We spend most of our time outside in the play yard or up front with the staff and volunteers! I couldn't imagine life gets any better than this, but we are told that one day we will have a home and family who loves us more than we could ever imagine!

I would love to be in a home with Turkey, my brother, who has been my best friend throughout all I have been through. We help each other feel safe and feel happiest and most confident in each other's presence. A fence will be required to keep us safe and give us room to run and play!

Could you be the one we are waiting for? We are fixed, current on vaccinations, microchipped, and ready for to be adopted into the home everyone tells me I deserve! We love kids, but really little ones can be a little scary. We might love another dog to play with, but would also do best in a home where we could be your one and only pets. Cats scare us a little, but we think we could be friends. If you think you might like us to join your family, please fill out a pre-adoption form at helpfrommyfriends.org and call 231-533-4070 for more information!
