Pina's Story

Meet Pina!

Pina is an 8-year-old Shar-Pei/American Bulldog mix with the softest eyes and the sweetest soul. She's been a beloved companion her whole life, but due to changes in her family's living situation, she now finds herself looking for a new home to love.

This gentle gal adores people and is wonderful with kids and other dogs. She's more of a couch potato than a marathon runner, happiest when snuggled up with her humans or relaxing in the yard. Pina loves being outdoors, so a fenced-in yard where she can safely explore would be ideal. She knows her name and comes when called, and since her former home was Spanish-speaking, she may even respond to Spanish commands!

Pina does have some kennel anxiety in the shelter, so a sturdy crate and lots of love will help her feel secure in a new home. On walks, she does best with a front-clip harness to help with her gentle pulling, and she enjoys strolling at a steady, relaxed pace.

After losing both her lifelong home and her canine companion, Pina is ready for a soft landing - a family who will give her the stability, comfort, and love she deserves. If you're looking for a mellow, affectionate, and loyal friend, Pina is waiting to meet you.

Pina is eligible for our Foster-to-Adopt program, which means you can take some time to get to know her in your home before finalizing the adoption. It's a great way to ensure the perfect fit!

-----------------------------------------

If you're interested in adopting, please apply online at mscrescue.org/adopt.
