Our Mission

The SPCA of Brazoria County is a 501(c)(3) non-profit dedicated to leading Brazoria County to a time when there are no more homeless pets in our community. Founded in 1974, the SPCA-BC has operated the Southern Brazoria County Animal Shelter since 2003. The Shelter is an open admission facility serving the Cities of Freeport, Clute, and Lake Jackson, Texas. The SPCA-BC proudly operates as a No Kill shelter.

Adoption Policy

Hello potential adopters! Adoption fees include: - spay/neuter procedure - microchip - rabies vaccination (if old enough) - core vaccinations - internal and external parasite treatment and prevention All pets that are spayed/neutered may go home the same day as the adoption. If not, the new pet will be sent to the clinic on the closest spay/neuter date. Adopters need to bring a photo identification and payment for adoption fees.
