Texas Bark Squad is a foster-based rescue dedicated to placing dogs into safe, loving, and permanent homes. Our adoption process is designed to ensure the best possible match for both the dog and the adopter. Adoption Requirements Applicants must: • Be at least 21 years of age • Provide a valid government-issued ID • Have landlord approval if renting • Provide veterinary references for current or past pets (if applicable) • Be willing to provide a safe, stable, and committed home A fenced yard is not required for every dog but may be necessary depending on the individual dog’s needs. Adoption Process: 1. Submit an adoption application 2. Application review and screening 3. Phone or virtual interview (if needed) 4. Meet and greet (in-person or virtual for out-of-state adopters) 5. Approval and signed adoption agreement 6. Adoption fee payment and placement We prioritize the best fit for each dog based on lifestyle, environment, and experience, not on a first-come, first-served basis. Adoption Fees: Adoption fees vary depending on the dog and help cover: • Spay/neuter surgery • Vaccinations (age appropriate) • Microchipping • Heartworm testing (if age appropriate) • Preventative care Out-of-state adoptions are available. Transport fees included in the total. Medical Disclosure: All known medical and behavioral information is disclosed prior to adoption.
