You must fill out an application online as we do NOT accept applications at our clinics.<br/><br/>Pickles is an adorable, shaggy 4-month-old, 20lb pup up-for-adoption through Homeward Bound Dog Rescue of New York. An older couple had purchased her from a breeder in NJ, thinking they were getting a "Yorkie mix." Once they did DNA, it turns out Pickles is actually a Shih Tzu(30%)/Chihuahua(28%)/Italian Greyhound(21%)/Pointer(21%) and is expected to be in the 40-50lb range full-grown!<br/><br/>Pickles is great with other dogs and immediately goes right into wiggling/play-bow mode. She RACES around the fenced yard, almost Parkour style and for that reason, we are ONLY looking for adopters with fully fenced yards. She seems to relish the freedom and she is FAST like an Italian Greyhound! While she could be an "only dog," she seems to really want a buddy to race around with and play tag. <br/><br/>She has been crate-trained and will continue to be crated in her foster home. Shes still a puppy so housebreaking is a work-in-progress.<br/><br/>If youre looking for an adorable, dark gray, shaggy, entertaining pup, look no further! Obviously, exercise and obedience will be important but Pickles has a lovely temperament and settles down nicely inside.<br/><br/>Apply online today!<br/>www.homewardbounddogrescue.com<br/><br/>Our adoption clinics are held one Saturday a month at our facility in Schenectady on John Street, located directly behind Boulevard Bowl (Erie Boulevard) from 10 am to 12 pm (directions are on our website). We require an approved application before we consider anyone for an adoption - so filling out the application is your first step. Once your application has been reviewed, you will receive an email invitation to attend an adoption event. Different dogs and puppies go up for adoption EVERY WEEK so please feel free to visit the site and click on the Petfinder link for updates as we are adopting dogs out in between adoption events. Puppies and dogs up to 2 years old are $395. Dogs over 2 years old are $295. 100% of the adoption fees go to help us save more dogs.
