Thank you to everyone who shared, supported, and helped him get his second chance.

Pickle originally came into a Georgia kill shelter as a return after the heartbreaking passing of his owner. Through no fault of his own, his entire world was turned upside down. He’s a classic “velcro dog” who loves staying close to his people whether you’re relaxing at home or moving through your day. He also enjoys snacks, comfy beds, and enthusiastic games of fetch — even if bringing the ball back is still optional in his opinion.

He is:
• 3 years old
• Male (neutered)
• 70 lbs
• Potty trained
• Crate trained
• Working on leash manners
• Good with dogs and kids

Pickle is currently settling into foster care, decompressing, and enjoying the safety and comfort he deserves.

www.muttlife.org

__________

Adoption fees include the cost of spay/neuter procedure, up-to-date dewormer, vaccinations, heartworm prevention (age appropriate), and certified veterinarian inspection within 30 days of adoption.
__________

Review adoption requirements and ensure you meet the necessary criteria to apply!

https://www.muttlife.org/adoption-policies
_________

ADOPTION PROCESS:
1.) Apply: Fill out an adoption application completely and submit all necessary documents.

2.) Application Decision: approved applicants will be notified via phone call and email.

3.) Foster-to-Adopt Trial Period: After approval, you have the opportunity to do a meet and greet and bring your dog home! You get a 5-day foster-to-adopt (FTA) period to make sure it's the right fit.

4.) Final Decision: By the end of the FTA period, please let us know your final decision to adopt or return the dog to our rescue.

5.) Home Visit: After the adoption process, we conduct a home visit either in person or via Zoom meeting to ensure that everything is going well with the transition and to answer any final questions you may have.

6.) Neuter/spay for puppies: for dogs who are not fixed at the time of adoption, we will reimburse for the procedure once we receive proof of spay/neuter. The procedure MUST be done at HAWS Snip Clinic in Waukesha, WI, or Wisconsin Community Veterinarian Center in Madison, WI. If you would like to go through your veterinarian or another location, we will reimburse $125 once we receive proof of the procedure. We recommend spay/neuter around 6 months old.

**Note: Adoptions are not considered final until the dog is neutered/spayed if applicable**
